"THE LORD PASSED BY!"

The Lord passed by one day
& brought me health & gain,
But on another day He passed
& all I had was grief & pain.
I thought that all I'd have
was 'success & health & fame',
I questioned: "Why all this ~
have I shamed Your Precious Name?"
Then He reminded me
of Hebrews ~ chapter eleven,
Where, yes, many lived & prospered
but many died & went to Heaven!
'Beaten' or 'stoned to death'
or 'sawed in two' or 'starved',
'Sick' or 'hiding in a cave'
whipped or chained or even carved.
Yet NEVER denying GOD
The One they 'loved' the most,
So, take 'comfort' in that fact
& be sure 'of WHOM' you boast!
'Accept' God's RIGHT
to do what He wants with you,
Your job is to 'love & believe'
& stay unto Him 'True'!
No matter 'what the cost'
for CHRIST has paid it ALL,
When He 'died' upon that tree
& RANSOMED us from the 'fall'.
If Jesus was willing to obey The Lord
even unto 'death on a cross',
Why should we 'grumble & complain'
but WILLINGLY let God be 'Boss'!
We may not get our 'Promise'
while down here on Earth,
We might have to 'wait' for it
till we reach HEAVEN ~ after
our 'New Birth'!
Yet we will receive
all He's Promised in His Word,
Whether here or up in Heaven
so just TRUST all you've heard.
For Heaven is even 'better'
& One Day we'll be There,
IF we've trusted CHRIST *
One Day He'll take us There!
