"THINK!"

Help me Lord to see the 'good' *
in 'other folks' I meet,
Not only here at home
but out there on the street.
To 'fix' my thoughts to THINK *
about what is 'true' & 'right',
Not thinking 'ugly' thoughts
that'll only start a fight.
To dwell on pure & loving thoughts
'praising' GOD for His dear Son,
To practice what You've taught me
so it's PEACE we will have won. *
For to constantly THINK 'evil'
about others all the time, *
Makes us worthless & disobedient *
not giving GOD a 'dime'!
'Claiming' that we know Him *
but not 'acting' like we do,
Makes us so 'untrusting'
& rotten through & through.
I must make up my mind
to THINK 'good' thoughts of others,
For how will I love Heaven
up there ~ with my brothers? *
'Renew' our minds, dear Lord *
constantly change them for the better, *
Not 'acting' like the world ~but~ *
'experiencing' something greater! *
For then we will find
'His Ways' will satisfy
And we'll be happy to live
with our 'brothers' up in the sky!
Because we'll have learned
how to love them down here,
Not 'pretending' any more *
but with delight & good cheer! *
'Honoring' one another
so 'jealousy' cannot reign,
Being 'peacemakers' ~ planting seeds *
yielding very 'good' grain.

God would have us look at 'others'
the way we want HIM to look at us ~
with 'JOY' & 'LOVE'!
