"OUR 'BEST FRIEND'!"

If you think life down here is boring
serving God is just an end,
Wait until you get to Heaven
& we see our 'Best Friend'!
Life up there will all be joyous
as we celebrate with Praise,
No more sin & no more suffering
as our voices in song we raise.
Then we'll know why all things
happened all across this weary land,
No longer wondering with contrition
just holding to His Nail Scared Hand!
Trials & troubles all behind us
now, never wondering 'why',
God will open our understanding
when we reach the 'by & by'.
Sometimes He shows us here & now
'why' He does the things He does,
For a fallen world is what we live in
& 'correction' is a must!
When we worship 'other idols'
choosing them instead of God,
Then we lose His 'protection' &
'life itself' will be our ~
'chastening rod'! *
Make up your mind now & seek to serve Him
with 'glad Joy' & 'happy Praise',
Don't wait until you get to Heaven
to spend with Him those glorious days!
