"IT 'HURTS'!"

It 'hurts' so very much
when our kids 'neglect' to call,
To see just how we are
or if we've had a fall.
So I know for sure You hurt
when we ONLY call on 'You' for help,
Neglecting the 'fun & fellowship'
& 'before You' our hearts don't melt.
Taking for 'granted' Your LOVE
& Your 'GIFTS' as well,
'Expecting' You to serve us
with 'little love' to tell.
How can You tell our love
if we won't come around?
'Desiring' to BE with You
instead of others around.
We've found another 'love'
to take Your 'Special' place,
Now we no longer 'desire'
to see Your Precious Face.
Oh Heavenly Father, FORGIVE us
& turn us back again,
That our lives will 'include' You
& our hearts ~can with JOY~ sing.
Now no wonder You say to 'love your enemies' *
& 'do good' to those who hate you,
You also tell us to 'bless' them *
& PRAY for those who 'despitefully' use you!
And when they hit us on the cheek *
to turn to them the other,
For this is what we do to 'YOU'
our Precious 'Heavenly' Brother!
We have done to 'You' *
what others do to us,
Yet You have Loved us 'anyway'
& taught us to be 'just'. *
THANK YOU Precious Lord
for helping me to 'see',
The way I've been treating You
is the way people ~ treat me.
Please help me 'overcome'
& learn from my mistakes,
And study Your Word to know 'how' *
to 'love' others ~ for goodness sakes. *
Then everyone will know *
that I am Your disciple,
Because my love for them & You
will not be ~ trifle! *
